From a Food-related Aggression Case to Creating Resources for Others
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with CABI, an academic publisher, on a research project about food-related aggression in equines. This topic is not well covered in the literature, and I was eager to contribute to the field.
When I began my project, I realized how little information there is on food-related equine aggression. This only fueled my passion to create a comprehensive and reliable resource for others to learn from.
I was able to work with a client and CABI to create a case study on a horse who had a history of aggressive behaviour towards humans and other horses when food was present. The case study detailed the behavior modification techniques and training methods used to reduce the horse's aggressive behaviour and create a safer environment for both the horse and those around him.
Through this project, I was able to assist CABI in their mission to educate academics and students on the subject of food-related equine aggression. As a former student, I know how challenging it can be to find reliable information on a specific topic. That's why I am proud to have contributed to creating a resource that can help others in their learning journey.
Working on this project with CABI allowed me to combine my passion for equine behaviour and training with my desire to create resources that can help others. I am grateful for the experience and I hope that this case study will be a valuable tool for anyone interested in understanding and addressing food-related equine aggression.
